Summer with Kingdom Vineyard: 7th July-18th August
Every summer we like to make a little change from our regular weekly service to give us time to focus more on community as well as giving our hard working volunteer teams a bit of rest during the months where availability is lower.
In-keeping with the verse that we felt that God gave us for this year, John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”, the heart behind the summer programme is to give us an opportunity to both dwell in God’s light and to be intentional about bringing that light towards others in the community - joining in with God’s missional work and being carriers of his light.
Over the 7 week programme, we will have 3 services , and 4 activities. We’re looking forward to hanging out this summer and hope you are too! Let’s pray the weather plays ball…
Read below for all the details!
Summer Services
10:10am at the Town Hall
14th July, 28th July, 11th August
These services will look much like the Sunday services your used to!
7th July: Craigtoun Park Brunch-nic
It’s back! A summer programme favourite. The Craigtoun park brunch-nic! We’ll meet in the carpark at 10.10 and then find some patch of grass to pitch up on. Bring along some food for you, and a bit to share, something to sit on and a game to play if you would like! We’re looking forward to a great time together with old friends and new!
21st July: Prayer Walk
We want to love and bless our community through prayer so on the 30th July we will gather at the St Davids Centre at 10.30 before heading off in smaller groups to pray over St. Andrews and East Fife. We’re so looking forward to a morning spent inviting more and more of God’s Kingdom to come here in our wee corner of the world.
Note: There will also be a group that stays at the St Davids Centre for anyone who may find walking difficult and anyone who would prefer a pray-sit.
4th August: Games & Giveaway Day
Another event we’re delighted to be bringing back is the Games and Giveaway day. We’ll spend the morning in the St Davids Centre getting to know our community through conversations, playing games and sharing food.
Storehouse will be open during this time and anyone who is in need is welcome to come along and shop during the event.
18th August: Bless St Andrews
Our final event of the summer will involve be getting out to bless the community. We’re going to do this through stopping to chat to people in town and handing out chocolates.
We’ll gather at the St Davids Centre and head off from there.
